Chinese Lilac Flower

A few days ago I did a mani for a challenge post, which has yet to be posted...
When I was taking it off, I loved my middle finger so much that I couldn't bring myself to get rid of it, so instead I incorporated it into a new mani, which is this one:

When I first painted this nail my boyfriend didn't believe I had painted it myself! He was convinced it was a decal and refused to believe me for ages!!

For my middle finger I used a base colour of Barry M Silk in Heather. I then painted the flowers using Barry M Matt White, Sally Hansen Grape Race, Missguided Missmatch and Sally Hansen Kiwi Bikini for the leaves.
On the rest of the fingers I sponged a purple-white gradient using Sally Hansen Grape Race, Barry M Silk Heather and Barry M Matt White.

I really really liked this mani and would quite happily have kept it on much longer than I did!!

Leopard Print

Today I have a tried a pink Leopard print look. This is something I have seen around a lot but it never really appeals to me. For some reason though, I felt like giving it a go!

I used Sally Hansen Strawberry Icing for the base colour, which is much pinker than it appears here (There is a more colour accurate picture at the bottom of this post). The spots were done with Barry M Silk in Heather, and outlined with Barry M Black.

I actually really like how this mani turned out. I think the colours work really well together.

I liked my Left and Right shots I did on my last post, so here they are again!! This may become a regular thing, although I find it difficult to photograph my right hand, as I shake too much and they end up blurred!

This picture is a little more colour accurate than the rest as it was taken in natural light.

When I was in Kenya, I actually saw a Leopard on Safari, so I am adding this to my Kenya Inspired posts, although I haven't done any of those for a while!
Here he is... Just chilling in a tree!

Silk Stripes

Today I bought one of the new Barry M Silk polishes in Heather. It's such a cute colour I got excited and painted my nails straight away. Then realised I had no plans what else I was going to do with it to make my nails pretty! So I had to find something I could do after I had already painted them! And something I could do quick, as I've had so much work to do this weekend!
This is how they ended up:

I used some blue striping tape to make stripes on one nail on each hand. Then I thought, wouldn't it look better if they were actually stripes. So I used Revlons Chroma Chameleon in Aquamarine which is almost the exact same colour as the tape and filled in alternate stripes. I then painted one more finger on each hand in this colour, so it was a little less random!

I actually really like this. Nice and simple, without being just plain boring. I really like these two colours together too.

The Silk polish is quite thin and pale. I had to use 3 coats to get a nice even coverage and it is still a really light colour. It has a nice sheen to it though.
